If I were to sum up my life philosophy in one word, that word would probably be “balance”. For as long as I can remember, my recipe for happiness was maintaining the delicate balance between the various aspects of my life I cared about: academics, relationships, physical and mental health. This pursuit of a work-life balance has been a lifelong challenge, especially due to my tendency to always want to fulfill my potential.

A man screams at the camera as he shakes his body and twitches his eyes violently, thanking everyone for the “Star Balloons” he just received. In the sane world, the man’s actions would be completely incomprehensible and people would view this man with concern. However, in the world of AfreecaTV, he is just BJ Chulgoo, a prize-winning, seven-year veteran live streamer that brings entertaining content to viewers in all forms.

Our good friends in the New World recently decided to abandon some of humanity’s most valued assets by setting the concept of logic on fire. As the red, white, and blue flames burn the coal that drives “The Donald”, the rest of the world watches, horrified, as 2017 set new records for extreme weather conditions.

Social inclusion encompasses many dimensions today. Discrimination, physical abuse, hate speech, and slander directed at minorities of various nature are subject to serious public, legal, and reputational condemnation in many parts of the world. Dear President Shin,The reply you gave at the committee hearing was offensive to those students (including myself) who care enough about KAIST to speak up and voice our opinions. I would think that it is the responsibility of the USC to request the creation of a university council. That being said, rights are, by definition, a core aspect of humanity’s social order and should not require any special attributes to be exercised.

The American sci-fi film Gattaca from 1997 presents us with a future society where children are conceived through genetic manipulation in order to endow them with the best hereditary conditions. Now, two decades later, designer babies have become an intense topic of discussion that challenges some of our most intrinsic and fundamental values.

The recent decade, which has witnessed a formidable proliferation of Bitcoin is worrying. What aspires to be the 21st century’s digital gold is already traveling to many corners of the world without a traffic officer or signal lights.

Skepticism aside, it is still worthwhile to point out the relevant advantages Bitcoin has to offer to consumers in particular. As the first of its kind, Bitcoin may at the very least serve as an innovative exemplar for future development of cryptocurrencies and digital payments.

We sometimes recline away from our rational selves to make room for ambiguity — we know that committing to a stance can be a self-deprecating act and must assume neutrality to shy away from being judged. In other words, we attribute happenings to subjects that hinge on a far less solid basis as we can see from the articles or speeches that say the “evil has taken over” or one was “cut short of luck”.

What if you passed by someone or something lying in deadly pain, wrenched in the cold waters of the Styx? The good-willed member of society is obliged to assist, to guide, and to save. We should not, and must not, become the victims of cowardice and lethargy. This is when courage is needed and when the lone ordinary becomes the mystically heroic.

The Turk (1700s), Da Vinci (2000), and AlphaGo (2015) are only some of the many “robots” that have brought about revolutionary changes to the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Although the proficiency of such robots has already been proven, the public has had mixed opinions on the topic of these robots replacing many areas of mankind’s lifestyle.

Moon is looking for a radical approach involving the complete phase-out of nuclear power plants. I believe that because of the potential dangers of the power plants, some of them should be closed, but a complete phase-out is definitely not a viable option.
