The KAIST College of Business Student Council and the KAIST Graduate Student Association is co-hosting the KAIST RUN 2014 (KR2014).

With the slogan "Supporting Learning through Running," KR2014 builds on the KAIST RUN 2013 (KR2013). During KR2013, 100 KAIST students, faculty, staff, and acquaintances participated in the marathon/online fundraiser, raising 19 million Korean Won from 600 donors, also sponsoring science education for 77 multicultural children.

KR2014 will be a part of the JoongAng Seoul International Marathon, and by registering in advance applicants will be able to run as donor runners. Those who cannot participate in the marathon can participate as sponsor runners.

The event will be held on November 9, 8 a.m. at Jamsil Main Stadium. A shuttle will be available from KAIST to Seoul. The registration period was from August 4 to 21. The registration fee is 40,000 Korean Won, and the marathon is divided into a full course and a 10 kilometer course. Participants may register as individuals, teams, or sponsor runners. As of September 10, the numbers of individuals, teams, and sponsor runners were 100, 22, and 3, respectively.

To be able to run the marathon, participants must be 18 years or older as of the day of the event, and capable of completing the full course marathon within 5 hours (only for full course participants). The participant package includes a T-shirt, a bib number, a program booklet, a timing chip, and a medal for finishers.
