Why did you choose this course?

I have always had an interest in management and economics. However, Korean high schools focus too much on major subjects and offer extremely limited and shallow economics classes. Naturally, when I found out that KAIST offered an economics class, I had to apply for it. I applied for Introduction to Business Management as well just in case.

How has your experience with this course been so far?

It’s been great. The materials are well-organized and tidy. The professor’s lectures are also easy to follow and understand. He frequently follows up on his explanations with examples that give us a deeper understanding of the topics of the lecture.

Would you recommend this course to other students who may not have background knowledge of economics?

The introduction of the course is relatively easy. It’s basically what you would have learned in Social Studies in the first grade of high school. I was able to easily follow the course despite not learning any economics since then. I believe this would be the case for most Korean KAIST students. As I said, Korean high schools’ economics classes are far down the priority list for schools and students alike. You hardly learn anything from them. The professor is caring enough to consider this and helps us learn from the basics. I would definitely recommend this course to any KAIST students.
