The executive committee that represents the undergraduate student body changed its official English name from Undergraduate Student Council (USC) to KAIST Undergraduate Association (KAIST UA). The following change was ratified during the latest Central Executive Committee meeting on May 28. Head of Emergency Response Committee (ERC), Junseok Lee, tabled a bill to change the English name of the undergraduate executive body from USC to KAIST UA. Reasons behind the change include the fact that the term “Association” is better as it implies the inclusion of all undergraduate students. KAIST UA is also similar in name to other Undergraduate Associations in MIT and POSTECH and the Graduate Student Association in KAIST.

All 16 members of the Central Executive Committee voted for the bill and it became effective right away on May 28. Necessary changes for the email, website, and other names will be carried out as soon as possible.
