On March 13, the election for the Undergraduate Association (UA) was canceled once again due to lack of candidate parties. As a result, the non-elected Emergency Response Committee (ERC) will take place in the absence of an elected council. The ERC is required to receive at least one representative from each department, including the School of Freshman, as the executing members; however departments with a small number of students can compromise with the ERC and be exempt from sending representatives.

The ERC assumes the role of a UA, and will start serving in mid-March until the next UA election in November. The prolonged absence of the UA, which started last December, is concerning as the lack of an elected student representative body means it has less influence in settling agreements with the school administration.
