From September 28, the West Cafeteria on the first floor of the Student Center-1 (W2) resumed its services. The cafeteria had been closed from July 28 due to management reasons of Matna Food Service Industry Co., Ltd., which had previously operated the cafeteria. A new company, La Matinee, has now taken over management. 

Operation hours for breakfast are from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for weekdays and 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and dinner hours are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for all working days and weekends. 

Currently, each meal consists of a single buffet-style menu. However, the company is planning on adding set menus for lunch and dinner after mid-October. The operation of the cafeteria will restore food options at KAIST, in particular for students living in the west side of campus.
