In late October, Da Vinci Point announced its new art-related lectures and performances prepared in line for KAIST students. Launched in 2019, Da Vinci Point is an initiative by the School of Digital Humanities and Computational Social Sciences that encourages members of the KAIST community to participate more in arts events. The program rewards students with mileage points based on arts-related pursuits they accomplish, such as attending an exhibition or taking relevant semester-long courses in the arts. The mileage points determine a student’s final tier of achievement, which are: Silver (50 points), Gold (70 points), and Platinum (100 points). Based on these obtained tiers, students may opt to convert their collected points into leadership mileage from the KAIST Global Leadership Center (KGLC). These leadership mileages are useful for aspiring exchange student applicants, since it is part of the criteria for selection in many exchange programs. For every Da Vinci Point lecture attended, students are granted 5 points.
