On May 25, the KAIST Education Innovation Day was held in the Chung Kunmo Conference Hall on the fifth floor of the Academic Cultural Complex (E9). The event was designed to acknowledge professors who employed unique and innovative teaching methods and share their efforts with the KAIST community, featuring a total of seven awardees.

Five KAIST professors were also invited to present during the event, all chosen as special cases of excellence in teaching and education innovation. The first presenter, Professor Hyuncheol Park of the School of Electrical Engineering, was a recipient of the Hyung-Gyu Lim LINKGENESIS Best-Teacher Award Grand Prize. Then, the next presenter was Professor Seyun Kim from the Department of Biological Sciences, who received the Soo-Young Lee Teaching Innovation Award Grand Prize. The other presenters were Professor Jung-woo Choi from the School of Electrical Engineering (Grand Prize for Excellence in Teaching), Professor Taejung Yoon from the School of Management Engineering (Grand Prize for Excellence in Teaching), and Professor Jun-Bo Yoon from the School of Electrical Engineering (KAIST Educator Award).

The KAIST Education Innovation Day was promoted by incentivizing attendees to come through a lucky draw and giving them free souvenirs. With this event, the organizers hoped to inspire and encourage KAIST professors to give more attention not only to teaching well, but also pioneering creative changes in the way they teach their courses.
