To greet the KAIST community of students and faculty, four new services have moved onto the campus over the winter. Among the newcomers are two cafeterias, a bakery, and a café: Secret, Meilu, Tous Les Jours and A Twosome Place, respectively.

To fill the void left by the departure of Eat2Heal from the North Cafeteria last year, Secret has stepped in to provide healthy, well-being foods. It is now possible to order a diverse range of salads and fruit juices. Furthermore, for customers who want a lighter meal, fresh fruits and rice cakes are also available.

Located beside Secret, Meilu is another newcomer to the neighborhood. Here, the students can enjoy diverse warm meals of Chinese cuisine without having to make a journey off-campus. Although there are already several places on campus where the students can enjoy Chinese meals, Meilu provides a greater selection of delicacies.

An issue the students have is that, although there are many places available on campus that sell bread, the choices are limited and not fresh. To alleviate this problem, Tous Les Jours has moved into the Natural Sciences Building (E6). The customers can buy not only fresh bakery goods, but also pastries for special occasions.

Finally, an addition to the family of cafés is A Twosome Place. Its isolated location near the East Gate crosses it off from the students’ list of places for short visits between lectures. However, located inside the IT Convergence building, A Twosome Place is readily accessible to its visiting students.

With the entry of these several services onto the KAIST campus, the range of food selections has broadened significantly. In addition, each service has been and will be offering more events depending on the seasons. For example in January, Tous Les Jours held a giveaway event with gifts including the iPad and bicycles.
