In March, the KAIST Career website was updated with improved features to provide students with up-to-date information on job recruiting offers from companies. The site features a job recruit information board, campus recruit schedule, talent pool board, and a community forum. Through the update, it is expected that the students, as well as the employers, will exchange better career and hiring information.

The web portal also included new community boards where students can upload resumes and corporate headhunters can post recruit offers. The website can now be exclusively accessed by logging in with the KAIST Portal ID, and users can upload academic records, job and research experience, community service activities, and other information that can be managed and compiled into an online resume. Users can register their resume into the pool of applicants where hirers can search for graduating students with the appropriate skill set.

In the job recruit information menu, up-to-date job offers and internships are posted from various private corporations, state-owned enterprises, and overseas companies. Offers from many large corporate companies, such as Samsung, STX, Hyundai, as well as consulting groups like A.T. Kearney, are being updated almost daily since the site was reopened. It is expected that more offers will be posted in the future.

The campus recruiting calendar is a new interface to inform students about upcoming job consulting and career fairs at the KAIST campus. Monthly schedules of events are posted on the online calendar and users can easily check the time and location of each session. Job consultations from major corporations, such as Samsung, LG, SK, Hanhwa Chemicals, and Doosan Group are few of the many listed in the upcoming events.

The community forum includes a notice board as well as a freeboard where users are free to exchange any discussions about careers. Also, the site offers an easy-to-read manual for any users who need help understanding the career portal. Students are welcome to visit http://career.kaist.ac.kr to find the most recent information on careers.
